Value for Money at this location

I stayed in this hotel with my kids, as i had to attend a marriage near Doddaballapur for 2 days. I paid Rs 4k for 2 adults and 2 kids. Its high as i booked through Cleartrip, but i had no option as i had a Cleartrip voucher and did not book sufficiently in advance. (My wife decided to stay with her relatives at the last moment as well). Pros: 1. Location: Its located on a nice major road leading to Doddaballapur from Yelahanka. And you will not find any other hotel at this price nearby with the same quality. I would have stayed at Angsana which is nearby, but its a bit expensive at Rs 7k per night. 2. Amenities: Its not just a hotel, but a resort too. You can enjoy free swimming pool, Sauna, Gym and other activities. 3. Very friendly staff and service. Neutral: Buffet Breakfast: OK food. Cons: 1. Bedding: Beds are not very comfortable and also we did not get a King size bed. Also my younger son fell off the bed twice as it slopes at the edges which is strange. Comforter/Duvet given is not cosy at all and a bit rough. We did not have a restful sleep. 2. Bathroom: Bathroom is cramped. There is a bath tub, but its spotty and not very clean. Toilet seat could be a bit more cleaner/shinier as well. Also, you don't get warm water in the evenings if you need to take a shower. But we got nice hot water during the day, including in the sink. Conclusion: If you are staying for a few days and want to use the Amenities, this would be a good choice. It would also be a good choice if you have business in the surrounding area.Good for a couple maybe.
Not Worth it

Everything about the hotel except for the Breakfast was poor. Food was terrible, lots of big mosquitoes in the room. The Curd Rice normally decently available in South India was extremely terrible in nature.
Now I lay me down to sleep on a filthy mattress pad at the California Ramashree
By 679Piper on April 2, 2018
California Ramanashree is a misnomer; the hotel has, quite frankly become a complete dump. Whats worse, is I have stayed here before; its not fancy but, in a pinch it works. This past trip, however, is a memory I wish I could erase. Not just for the room, but the attitude of the management. Lets review: I booked a room March 24-27 of March and paid for it online over 21k in total. It was for a family emergency and my flight to Bangalore landed late the night of the 24th. When I got to the resort after 1am, the receptionist who greeted me looked like he had just rolled out of bed. His hair was tousled, his tie and shirt thrown on and untucked frankly, the security guard was better dressed than he was. I get to my room (#211) and when I went to lock the door, I found the lock would not work. Jiggled the key in the door thinking the lock may be stuck, but no luck. Called the front desk and the man who came up to the room first tried to convince me all I needed was the security chain and no functioning lock. When I protested, he moved me to room 206, with a door that looked like the lock has been chewed to bits (see picture). That wasnt the worst of it. There was a swan sculpture on the bed which, while kitschy, was cute. Moving it, however revealed the issue. Dirty sheets. And it wasnt just one side of the bed it was both. I was exhausted at this point, but still called the front desk and asked for fresh sheets. I was told there was no-one; I just said send me the sheets and I will change them. The porter finally brought new sheets and in a real bad temper, ripped off the blanket and chucked it on the floor. When he removed the sheets we both saw the stained mattress pad and I asked for a fresh one. He reluctantly went to see if he could find it only to come back a half an hour later and say there was none. They were asked to never change the pad. I asked if he would sleep on that stained bed and he shook his head. Of course, as a guest WE are expected to! I tried to call the Duty Manager and he was Missing in Action (MIA). I was a guest complaining about a dirty room heaven help the guest who might have a heart attack in the early hours of the morning. I finally gave up in disgust and spent a few hours scrunched on a tiny couch. Next morning, the Duty Manager came up to the room and agreed it was a mess. As to where he was a few hours earlier your guess is as good as mine. He said no one tried to reach him; the front desk said his phone just kept ringing when they tried. I spoke with the Front Office Manager, the Housekeeping Manager and the Duty Manager (names all below); sent the Front Office Manager a letter requesting a full refund and at his request signed a copy of the bill for the first night (procedure, I was told and in my tired state, I just did it). Fast forward to March 29th when I called the Front Office Manager; he confirms I will be issued a full refund, which has been cleared by the Head Office. Today (April 2nd) I get a call from the Accounts Manager saying I will be refunded only for two nights because I technically stayed one night. On a couch. In a room with a dirty bed. With no help from the hotel whatsoever. Hospitality - and accountability - redefined at this resort. The managers I spoke with on the day included the MIA Duty Manager, the Front Office Manager, Rohit Kumar; Asst. Banquets Manager, Basava Kumar S (not sure why he was there and not housekeeping); and today, Accounts Manager Praveen. The pictures attached will show you the quality of the room provided to me the bed remained unmade the entire night; to everyone who was there the night of the 24th, your mattress pad could have been just as clean as mine. Veerendra Shadakshari, as Managing Director, you should be ashamed to have this property in your portfolio without a complete quality review. Who signs off on these rooms before the next customer checks in? Id like a complete refund, please, without one night being swallowed up for a very grubby room. In passing, I ended up staying in Bangalore for a total of 5 nights. If your rooms had been clean, and service professional, I would have stayed and you would have had the additional business. Never again. You describe your hotel as an oasis on your website. Ill pass, thanks.
good for a day or two

Stayed for a day. nice location on main road, though no dust and noise. Road communication easily available. Surrounding tastefully done with a small swimming pool. garden is well maintained, so sitting out is pleasant. I was given a room behind the reception. Room and toilet was not maintained/cleaned properly. Basic toiletries not provided. Food is good. Complements to the chef.
Just ok, not truly good enough

Not really sure if the resort is designed to service business or leisure travelers, doesn't exactly meet needs & expectations of either. Basic facilities are taken care of, rooms are much smaller than they appear in the photographs. Still, could be a good choice, if a short-stay is a must in this part of the city.
